Restoring Balance from Within
About Apricity
Apricity Acupuncture was founded to create a warm, welcoming space where people can experience personalised Five Element acupuncture tailored to their unique needs.
I believe healing is a process of gently reconnecting body, mind, and spirit. My aim is to support each client in returning to their natural balance, at a pace that feels right for them, through attentive care, deep listening, and considered treatment.
The word Apricity means “the warmth of the sun in winter.” To me, it evokes the feeling of gentle warmth in the depths of the coldest season - a quiet reassurance of light, renewal, and the promise of better days ahead. This idea feels deeply aligned with healing: a steady return to warmth, ease, and vitality even in life’s more challenging seasons.

The Practitioner Behind Apricity
My name is Erica, and I am currently in the final months of my acupuncture training, due to graduate in August with a degree-level qualification from The Acupuncture Academy in Leamington Spa. I am also a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
My journey into acupuncture began in 2017, during a time when my mental health was at an all-time low and I struggled to see a way forward. Discovering acupuncture became a turning point for me - it offered genuine support when I needed it most and gradually helped to transform my wellbeing.
Through treatment, I began to experience greater emotional balance and resilience, alongside improvements in other areas of my health, including digestion and hormonal regulation. These changes had a profound impact on my overall quality of life and how I was able to move through the world.
As my health improved, I was able to follow a long-held dream of travel and spent four and a half years living on Vancouver Island in Canada. During this time, my connection to acupuncture deepened, and I made the decision to pursue formal training when I returned to the UK in 2023.
Alongside my core acupuncture training, I have also studied a range of supportive techniques including cupping, gua sha, tui na massage, and musculoskeletal (MSK) approaches for pain management. This enables me to offer flexible, individualised treatments that address both the presenting symptoms and the broader patterns behind them.
For me, acupuncture is much more than the use of needles. It is about taking the time to truly listen, understand each person as an individual, and create a safe, calm space where the body can begin to rebalance. I combine a strong clinical foundation with a responsive, intuitive approach, adapting each treatment to what is needed on the day.
My aim is to offer the same level of care, support, and positive change that acupuncture has given me.
